Bellin College has received official notification from The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools that, effective December 19th, 2008, the College is now accredited to offer the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences (BSRS) program. Bellin College has been educating nurses for ninety-nine years, with both a Bachelor of Science (BSN) and a Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing program. This will be the first non-nursing degree offered by the College.
The initial BSRS class will be admitted for Fall 2009, which is also the 100th Anniversary of the College. The 4-year program will prepare students in basic radiological imaging, as well as a variety of specialty tracks, such as Computerized Tomography (CT) scanning, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanning, and Women’s Imaging, including mammography and osteoporosis screening/bone density scanning. Additionally, the baccalaureate program emphasizes liberal education studies and leadership skills.
Bellin College has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1989, with it’s most recent comprehensive evaluation in 2004, when it received a full ten year accreditation approval through 2014.
Randy Griswold, MPA, BS, RT(R), will be the Director of the Program, and can be contacted at 920.433.3497 for further information
